Group Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to give back to the community by getting involved with colleagues to give back? Are you interested in team building opportunities that also support families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities® South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO)?

If so, our group volunteer opportunities are for you!

Get Your Family, Friends, or Co-Workers in the kitchen!

Families staying at RMHCSCO need more than a place to lay their heads - our families need the nourishment of a nutritious, homecooked meal to give them the strength and energy needed to be strong for their children.

By volunteering with our Meals that Heal Mission Experience program, you have the opportunity prepare and sponsor Dinner for 40 families, with the help of our in-House chefs! Mission Experiences are engaging team-building opportunities; they include lunch with your team and an immersive, behind-the-scenes House tour, as well as dinner prep and baking with our Chefs (we do the shopping and cleanup!) Those interested in participating in the program will experience the tangible impact of our mission.

Availability: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Wednesdays (12:30-3pm)
Cost: $1000 covers the cost of food and meal sponsorship for 40 families

Getting started is easy

Please note that these volunteer experiences are limited to our House in Hamilton ONLY (we do not coordinate for other Houses in Canada).
Email us to let us know your interest and we can schedule your upcoming date. All financial donations to this program are eligible for a tax receipt.

Please note, at this time, we are only recruiting Group Volunteers through our Mission Experiences and do not have other group volunteer roles.

Maximum 6 people per group. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
