The Story
What a day on the course! The 35th Ronald McDonald House Golf Classic brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and Alumni families for a tournament like no other – and together, we raised over $142,000 to support families with seriously ill children.
From hole activations to a buzzing online auction and so many special touches along the way, the energy was contagious. This wasn’t just golf tournament – it was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together to support a mission.
A Day Powered by Sponsors
The Golf Classic wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, who made sure the day was packed with fun, food, and unforgettable moments. Here’s how our sponsors showed up:
- Golfers zipped around in style with golf carts sponsored for the day,
- The putting green was buzzing as teams lined up to put their best foot forward,
- Our online auction added extra energy and excitement, helping us raise even more for families,
- Volunteers, the heart of our day, were supported every step of the way,
- The driving range got everyone warmed-up & swinging before tee-off,
- A purple furry friend brought laughs and smiles at one of the most memorable hole contests,
- Families were uplifted through a special sponsorship that reminded golfers of our Mission,
- And of course, the delicious food & beverages kept everyone fueled and ready to play!
Thank you to our sponsors!
Families at the Heart
This year’s tournament had something extra special: our Ronald McDonald House Alumni families. Together, they’ve stayed nearly 500 nights at our House and visits to our Family Rooms, and came from across Fergus, Niagara Region, Hamilton Region, and Kitchener-Waterloo. Some volunteered on hole activations, other teed off in the tournament, reminding us all why this event matters.
They were joined by our dedicated volunteers, who together, helped make the day seamless and unforgettable.
Thank You! Whether you golfed, sponsored, volunteered, or cheered us on, you played an important role in making this year’s Golf Classic an outstanding success.
And what would the day be without our in-kind partners who brought some serious extras to the course!? Cold samples and refreshing cocktails, sweet treats & good eats, unique contests, free massages, and non-alcoholic beverages added a unique touch that made sure golfers had an unforgettable experience from start to finish!
